What is Autism Testing?

Autistic people live worldwide and vary widely regarding their individual support needs. Each autistic person has a unique constellation of neurodivergent traits and characteristics. Some adults with greater support needs are easier to identify and receive information about how to best support themselves earlier in life. However, others may display fewer autistic traits and characteristics and spend years searching for understanding and explanations for why certain activities are particularly challenging. Autism testing is a way to systematically review your strengths, differences, and challenges to determine which types of support are most appropriate for your neurotype.

What can be expected?

Autism testing can answer questions you may have been asking for a long time. After testing, we can provide recommendations for various forms of support to help you live your life to the fullest. We will strive to assist you in locating resources, treatment, and solutions to the challenges that you may face.

How do we get started*?

Start your autism testing by clicking the link below to schedule a 30-minute introductory administrative conversation with our Testing Coordinator. We’ll review your insurance benefits and provide an estimated financial responsibility for testing (cost for testing). We’ll inform you about our testing process, policies, and procedures and answer any questions you may have at that time. Be ready to provide pictures of your insurance card, full name, birthday, and address of the primary account holder for your insurance.

*Please note that, at this time, we are only able to test individuals who are 18 years old or older. Do not start this process unless you can afford an anticipated cost between $600 and $1,580. We accept several insurances, which does help. Unfortunately, many insurances do not cover all of the testing processes.

If you are ready to move forward, you can schedule your testing appointment in this meeting. Afterward, you will be sent a link to your client portal where you will complete the required intake paperwork, which must be completed 48 hours after we schedule your appointment to help your clinician(s) prepare for your session(s). Otherwise, you may lose your spot and need to reschedule. Please note that these may take 2-3 hours to complete.

Please feel free to email us with any additional questions or concerns.

New Clients

Schedule an online “Introductory Administrative Conversation” with our Testing Coordinators. This is a 30-minute online video appointment (see link at the bottom of the page). Be ready to provide a picture of your insurance card (front and back), your name, birthday, and address of the primary account holder for your insurance when booking this appointment. You will get a confirmation email* from Intake Q (a HIPAA compliant video service) within 24-hours after making this appointment. *Please note that the confirmation email for this appointment will come from Intake Q and may show up in other folders within your email, including the Junk Mail folder.

During this meeting we will review your insurance benefits (previously verified), answer questions you may have about our programs, go over our policies and procedures. You will schedule your first session at this meeting, and you will be provided with our required forms to help your clinician prepare for your session. Please complete the forms within 48-hours after being scheduled, otherwise you may lose your spot and need to reschedule.
