Gabrielle Plata-Madrid

Counselor, LPC

Every client is unique; therefore, I draw from various theoretical approaches to provide optimal therapeutic care. My therapy style is best described as person-centered with various components from solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Over the course of my training, I have experienced a variety of settings: a day treatment center for teenagers with problem sexual behaviors, and a community mental health center for adults with various, if not multiple diagnoses. I have worked with adults with major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, adjustment disorder, PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, OCD, and ADHD.

I have a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Criminology from The University of Kentucky and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Ohio State University.
